If the package was marked as an exception and is returning to the sender, what’s the next step?
Contact The Hemp Doctor’s customer service team to inform them about the RTS package. Once the package returns to The Hemp Doctor facility, the team can provide a refund or reship it to the correct address. Meanwhile, keep your lines and inbox open for further clarification from the team. 

As long as you selected our package insurance Route during checkout, you can file a claim through their website: claims.route.com. If your claim is approved, you have the option to either:

  • Reship the items
  • Reimbursed

If your claim was denied, it’s most likely because Route’s team was not able to validate the information in the claim. That said, to increase your chances of getting approved, follow the instructions for filing claims for the following unique package issues or situations: 

Stolen/Marked as Delivered But Not

File a claim between 5-30 days from the time your order has been marked as delivered. Route will not consider assessing your claim if you file before the 5th day or after the 30-day waiting period. 

Lost

You can file a “lost package” claim within 7 to 30 days after the last tracking update — but only if there’s no estimated delivery date (EDD) shown. However, if an EDD is listed and remains unchanged, you must file the claim between 2 to 60 days from either the last tracking update or the EDD — whichever comes later.

Damaged

If your package arrives damaged, you have up to 15 days from the delivery date to file a claim. Be sure to include photo evidence of the damage when submitting your claim to Route.
