Delta 8 Flower & Prerolls (Joints)

Three Types of Delta 8 THC Flower

If you are not familiar with the different types of hemp-derived Delta 8 flower, know that each strain possesses its own unique characteristics. While you may find pure indica or sativa strains, most are a hybrid of the two. This blending of Delta 8 hemp families creates some wonderful and effective experiences for the user. From the first smell and look of the buds to the taste and aroma of the smoke to the effect that strain delivers, you are bound to find the one that provides a delicious and effective experience.

As you examine the different types of D8 flower, know that:

  • Indica strains are highly sedative and relaxing;
  • Sativa strains are energizing and allow a clearer mental function; and
  • Hybrids are a mixture of the two strains, combining both sedative and energizing properties.

Knowing the properties of each type of Delta 8 THC flower will help you determine which one is right for you.

The Difference between Sativa, Indica, Hybrids, and Delta 8 THC

As you look through the descriptions of our fresh hemp flower, you will find different terms such as sativa, indica, hybrid, Delta 8 THC, or a combination of these terms such as an indica-leaning hybrid. If you are unfamiliar with what these labels mean, here’s a quick reference guide.

Sativa, Indica, and Hybrids

Sativa and indica are both strains of the cannabis plant. You will find these terms referenced whenever someone is describing both marijuana and hemp.

Sativa – This strain of cannabis is known for the head high that it produces in the user. Flower in this strain tends to give the user an energetic, buzzed, and happy feeling.

Indica – This strain of cannabis is known for giving its user a body high, which is a comfortable feeling throughout the body. This strain is also known for giving its users the munchies.

Hybrids – This is a combination of sativa and indica strains. Depending on the parent strains, a hybrid will likely either be sativa-leaning or indica-leaning – meaning one or the other is the more dominant strain. Hybrids tend to give the user a comfortable feeling throughout their body while still maintaining a clear head.

Delta 8 THC

Delta 8 THC is different from sativa, indica, and hybrids because it is a cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant, not a strain of the cannabis plant. Inhaling or ingesting products with this cannabinoid will give the user the combination of body relaxation and a clear head high that you would find in a cannabis hybrid. The intoxicating effect is far less than with Delta 9 THC, the main cannabinoid in marijuana. In addition, Delta 8 THC is not known to produce the same side-effects as Delta 9 THC, such as paranoia and anxiousness.
