Grown in living soil
The soil is the short version of why this flower is different. Instead of feeding the plant a liquid nutrient schedule in an inert medium, living soil keeps a whole microbial ecosystem alive in the pot and lets the plant take what it needs when it needs it.
That means fewer runs a year and smaller yields, because you cannot rush a microbial system or push it harder. What comes back is a fuller terpene profile, a smoother smoke, and a cleaner burn, down to a pale ash rather than the dark, harsh finish that salt-fed flower often leaves. On a Haze like this one, where the whole appeal is in the brightness of the citrus, that difference is easy to taste.
Where it comes from
Ghost Train Haze was bred by Rare Dankness from Ghost OG and Neville’s Wreck, and it has been one of the reference sativas for well over a decade. The Haze side is where the sharpness comes from, and Ghost OG gives it the backbone.
Terpinolene leads, which is the fresh, fruity, slightly herbal top note you get first. Limonene handles the citrus and lime, and myrcene sits underneath with the earthy weight. The sage note sits between the terpinolene and the myrcene, and it is the part that makes this strain recognizable.
What to expect
This is a sharp, energetic sativa. People report real focus and an uplifted mood, and it tends to come on fast. It is a daytime strain by every measure, and not the one to reach for late at night.
At 22.24% THCA it is approachable, which actually suits Ghost Train Haze. It is a strain with a reputation for being a lot, and this batch lets you enjoy the citrus and the clarity without it getting away from you.
Worth a jar
If you buy flower on flavor and how it was grown rather than on the number on the label, this is a good one to try. Classic Haze genetics, a profile that is genuinely bright rather than just sweet, and living soil doing what it does best.
